• We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes
• We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites

All data transmitted to third-party services passes through our secure backend proxy. Your API keys and credentials are never stored on your device. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties beyond the services listed above.

On Your Device

• Your name and role are stored in the app's local preferences
• Your recordings, transcripts, action items, and email drafts are stored in the app's local database
• Photos are stored in the app's local file storage
• All local data remains on your device and under your full control

On Our Servers

VoiceCassette processes data through a backend proxy but does not persistently store your recordings, transcripts, or generated content on our servers. Data is processed in transit and discarded immediately after a response is returned to your device.

Retention

Data stored on your device persists until you delete it within the app or uninstall VoiceCassette. You can delete individual recordings from the Tape Library at any time.

5. Data Security

• All data transmitted between VoiceCassette and our backend uses HTTPS encryption
• All data transmitted between our proxy and third-party APIs uses HTTPS encryption
• API keys and credentials are stored only on our secure backend — never on your device
• We use a shared secret header to authenticate all requests between the app and our proxy

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

VoiceCassette is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information promptly.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Deletion

Since most data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times. You can:

• Delete individual recordings from the Tape Library
• Clear your name and role from Settings at any time
• Delete all app data by uninstalling VoiceCassette from your device

Notifications

You can enable or disable follow-up reminders at any time from the Settings screen in VoiceCassette, or from iOS Settings → Notifications → Spoke.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. VoiceCassette does not sell personal information.

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.

8. In-App Purchases

VoiceCassette offers optional in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. When you make a purchase:

• Payment is processed entirely by Apple — VoiceCassette never sees your payment information
• Apple's privacy policy governs payment data: apple.com/legal/privacy
• Purchase history is managed through your Apple ID

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of VoiceCassette after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
